My first Roller Derby bruise....

I wear it like a badge of honor... but DAMN it hurts!

Yesterday a girl knocked my skates right out from under me, causing me to fall ass-first onto one of her wheels. Youch!! The water immediately started pouring out of my eyes, but I sucked it up and assured everyone I was fine. There's no crying in Roller Derby!
So yes, here is a photo of my butt-cheek with a quarter on it so that you can see the size of this sucker. It's even bigger and more purple/blue today. I'm sure this will be the first of many....


Official Derby tryouts are coming up Sunday, so wish me luck! Hopefully I don't fall on my ass again...

UPDATE - the bruise has progressed to the biggest purplest thing I've ever had on my buttocks. That sounded weird. But seriously - I think it wins the award for "biggest bruise on Beth". Below is the updated picture - compare for yourself! Wowza!
